The show has been nominated for 64 awards and has won 13, including the Olivier Award for Best New Musical and multiple WhatsOnStage and Off-West End awards, and it has also received four Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, with Jak Malone winning both the Olivier and Tony Awards for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

Why is Operation Mincemeat so popular in Nottingham?

Operation Mincemeat is billed in Nottingham as the 2024 Olivier Award-winning Best New Musical and the best-reviewed show in West End history, now also a Tony-nominated Broadway hit, so local audiences are excited to see a major London and New York success at Theatre Royal.

How long does the performance of Operation Mincemeat last?

The running time is listed as to be confirmed, but current productions run for about 2 hours 35 minutes including an interval, so you should allow roughly two and a half hours in the theatre from curtain up to the final bows.

Is Operation Mincemeat suitable for children?

Theatre Royal Nottingham gives an age guidance of 6+, but the show includes wartime themes, loud sound effects and some strong language, so it is generally best for older children, teenagers and adults who are comfortable with war stories and satire, and under 14s must be accompanied by an adult.

How can I get cheap tickets for Operation Mincemeat in Nottingham?

To get cheaper tickets, look at Monday to Thursday performances, choose seats in cheaper price bands further back or higher up, and compare prices across dates; members, under 26s and groups can all access savings, so checking those offers can significantly reduce the cost.
