Frequently Asked Questions

When is Operation Mincemeat at New Victoria Theatre Woking?

Operation Mincemeat runs at New Victoria Theatre in Woking from Monday 15 June to Saturday 20 June 2026, with performances across the week so you can choose the date and time that suits you.

What is Operation Mincemeat about?

Operation Mincemeat is a fast-paced musical comedy based on a real Second World War British deception mission, where a small team of intelligence officers gambles everything on a stolen corpse, fake documents and a made-up love story to fool the Nazis and help win the war.

Which awards has Operation Mincemeat won?

The show has been nominated for 64 awards and has won 13, including the Olivier Award for Best New Musical and multiple WhatsOnStage and Off-West End awards, and it has also received four Tony Award nominations including Best Musical, with Jak Malone winning the Tony and Olivier for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

Why is Operation Mincemeat so popular in Woking?

Operation Mincemeat is promoted as the 2024 Olivier Award-winning Best New Musical, the best-reviewed show in West End history with dozens of five-star reviews, and now a Tony Award-winning Broadway hit, so Woking audiences are eager to see a major London and New York success at their local flagship theatre.

How long does the performance of Operation Mincemeat last?

The performance runs for about 2 hours 35 minutes including an interval, so you should plan for roughly two and a half hours in the theatre from curtain up to the final bows.

Is Operation Mincemeat suitable for children?

The show includes wartime themes, some strong language and dark humour, so although many venues allow younger patrons, it is generally recommended for older children, teenagers and adults who are comfortable with war stories and satire.

How can I get cheap tickets for Operation Mincemeat in Woking?

To find cheaper tickets, look at midweek performances, choose upper or rear seating bands instead of premium stalls, compare prices between the theatre box office and official ticket partners, and keep an eye out for off-peak dates with lower starting prices.

Are there any discounts or special offers available?

You may be able to save with concessions, ATG membership discounts, group booking deals and occasional promotional offers such as early-booking rates or limited-time reductions advertised by the theatre and production.

Is it better to book Operation Mincemeat early or last minute in Woking?

Booking early is sensible for this one-week run because the best central seats and popular evenings can sell quickly, but flexible theatregoers can sometimes find cheaper remaining or restricted-view seats closer to the performance date if availability allows.

Which seats offer the best value at New Victoria Theatre?

Mid-priced seats a little further back in the stalls or front of the circle usually balance a good view with reasonable cost, while upper-circle and restricted-view seats are often the cheapest if keeping the ticket price low matters more than being close to the stage.

What kind of music and atmosphere does Operation Mincemeat have?

The musical blends modern theatre and pop-influenced songs with quick, witty lyrics, a small cast playing many roles and energetic staging, creating an evening that feels like a mix of spy thriller, high-energy comedy and emotionally grounded wartime drama.

Why should I see Operation Mincemeat in Woking?

Seeing Operation Mincemeat in Woking lets you experience an Olivier and Tony Award-winning British musical with an inventive true-story plot, acclaimed performances and a unique comic tone in one of the South East’s premier theatres, without needing to travel to London or New York.
