Additional performers have joined the rotating cast of Tim Crouch’s An Oak Tree, set to run at the Other Palace from October to November 2026. The production’s unique format features Crouch performing alongside a different unprepared guest actor each night, drawing attention for its experimental approach.

Tim Crouch’s An Oak Tree will play at the Other Palace from 5 October to 15 November 2026, with the playwright himself performing opposite a guest actor at every performance. Each guest steps onto the stage without prior rehearsal or reading of the play, creating a distinctive theatrical event.

The initial line-up of guest performers was previously announced, including Hammed Animashaun (29 October), Bessie Carter (16 October), Rosalie Craig (9 October), Sacha Dhawan (23 October), George Fouracres (10 November), Clare Perkins (13 October), Tom Mothersdale (14 October), and Gemma Whelan (15 October).

Newly revealed guests include Sean Gilder (27 October), Brian Gleeson (30 October), Sophie Melville (25 October), Juliet Stevenson (18 October), Rhashan Stone (11 October), Olivia Williams (10 October), and Ria Zmitrowicz (8 November). This expanded roster adds further diversity and depth to the production’s nightly improvisational challenge.

An Oak Tree, first performed in 2005, has reached audiences in more than 19 countries. Over 350 performers have taken part in the play’s unique format worldwide during the past two decades.

The production is part of Francesca Moody Productions’ season at the Other Palace, which celebrates shows that originally premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The season also features Garry Starr: Classic Penguins from 22 October 2026 to 3 January 2027.

Completing the season is Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going to Happen, running from 19 November 2026 to 10 January 2027, written by Marcelo Dos Santos, directed by Matthew Xia, and starring Steven Webb.
