Jenna Bonner joins West End cast of The Devil Wears Prada musical

The West End production of The Devil Wears Prada has announced Jenna Bonner as the new lead, taking over the role of Andy Sachs. This follows the ongoing run of the musical, which has become the fastest-selling show in the Dominion Theatre’s history.

The Devil Wears Prada musical, based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel and the 2006 film, continues to draw audiences in London’s West End. Following its December 2024 opening at the Dominion Theatre after a season at Theatre Royal Plymouth, the production has sold over 1.2 million tickets and is set to mark its 800th performance in September 2026.

Jenna Bonner will step into the role of Andy Sachs, the aspiring journalist navigating the demanding world of fashion under editorial chief Miranda Priestly. Taila Halford remains in the cast, continuing as the character Emily.

The show’s producers include Kevin McCollum, David Furnish, and Jamie Wilson, in collaboration with Theatre Royal Plymouth and by arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical. The musical features music by Elton John, with lyrics by Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick, and a book by Kate Wetherhead.

Direction and choreography are by Jerry Mitchell, supported by a creative team comprising set designer Tim Hatley, costume designer Gregg Barnes, lighting designer Bruno Poet, sound designer Gareth Owen, and casting director Jill Green. Matt Henry, portraying Nigel, will stay with the production until February 2027.

The original cast recording was released last year and features unused demo tracks by Elton John. The new casting announcements were made via The Devil Wears Prada’s official social media channels, though the precise date of Bonner’s takeover has yet to be confirmed.
