What is The Bodyguard musical about?

The Bodyguard is a romantic thriller based on the 1992 film, where former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer is hired to protect superstar singer Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker, and while each expects to be in charge, neither expects to fall in love as the danger grows.

How long does the show last and is there an interval?

The current UK tour runs for around two hours and twenty minutes including an interval, which is typical for a large-scale musical and allows time for the suspenseful plot and all the major musical numbers.

Is The Bodyguard suitable for children and families?

The show is generally recommended for older children and adults because it includes a stalker storyline, threat of violence, gunshots, haze and smoke effects, and some strong language, so parents should follow the age guidance and consider whether younger or more sensitive children will be comfortable.

Do I need to know the film to enjoy the musical?

You do not need to have seen the 1992 film to enjoy the musical because it works as a clear, stand-alone stage story with concert-style performances, though fans of the movie will recognise the main plot, key scenes, and many of Whitney Houston’s most famous songs.

Ticket prices at the Wales Millennium Centre vary by performance and seat location, with lower-priced seats available in upper and side areas and higher prices for central stalls and circle seats; exact “from” prices are shown when you select your preferred date and seats.

How can I get cheap tickets for the Cardiff dates?

To find cheaper tickets, look at early-week performances instead of Friday or Saturday night, choose seats higher up or towards the sides of the auditorium, book as soon as tickets go on general sale before the lowest-price bands sell out, and sign up to the Wales Millennium Centre and tour mailing lists for presales, special offers, and discount codes.

Are there discounts or group offers available?

The tour and venue typically offer group discounts and concessions on selected performances, so it is worth contacting the Wales Millennium Centre box office to ask about savings for groups, schools, access customers, or specific age categories to get the best value on tickets.
