Is The Bodyguard suitable for children and families?
The show is generally recommended for older children and adults because it includes a stalker storyline, threat of violence, gunshots, haze and smoke effects, and some strong language, so families should check the venue’s age guidance and consider whether younger or very sensitive children will be comfortable.
Do I need to know the film to enjoy the musical?
You do not need to have seen the original film to enjoy The Bodyguard on stage because it works as a clear, self-contained story with concert-style performances, but fans of the movie will recognise the core plot, key scenes, and many of Whitney Houston’s most famous songs.

Ticket pages for Liverpool Empire show “prices from” lower bands for this run, with cheaper seats in upper or side sections and higher prices for central stalls and circle seats, and prices can vary by performance and demand.
How can I get cheap tickets for the Liverpool dates?
To get cheaper tickets, look at midweek performances instead of Friday or Saturday night, compare prices in different seating areas, book early before the lowest-priced central seats sell out, and sign up to Liverpool Empire, ATG, and trusted ticket-site newsletters for presales, multi-buy deals, and discount codes.
What is the best way to travel to Liverpool Empire Theatre?
Liverpool Empire Theatre is on Lime Street directly opposite Liverpool Lime Street Station and close to many bus routes, with city car parks nearby, so most visitors either arrive by train or park in central car parks and allow extra time for evening traffic before the show.
