Adrian Lester, Katie Leung and Rosie Sheehy join Tim Crouch’s An Oak Tree at Other Palace
New cast additions have been announced for Tim Crouch’s An Oak Tree, currently running at the Other Palace until November 2026. The unique production features a rotating guest performer who steps onstage without prior rehearsal, adding an unpredictable dynamic.
An Oak Tree, written and performed by Tim Crouch, continues its extended run at the Other Palace with a roster of guest actors joining Crouch each night. The play’s hallmark is that each guest arrives without having read or rehearsed the script, bringing a fresh and spontaneous approach to every performance.
Among the newly confirmed guests are Aysha Kala on 5 November, Kadiff Kirwan on 21 October, Adrian Lester on 3 November, Katie Leung on 12 November, and Rosie Sheehy on 7 November. This latest announcement adds to an already extensive cast list featuring Rosalie Craig, Olivia Williams, Juliet Stevenson, Sacha Dhawan, Suranne Jones, and many others performing on various dates through to the closing night.
First staged in 2005, An Oak Tree has been produced in more than 19 countries worldwide, with over 350 guest actors taking part over two decades. The play’s structure invites each participant to engage with its themes in real time, creating a singular experience for the audience on every night.
This production is part of Francesca Moody Productions’ season at the Other Palace, which highlights plays that premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Alongside An Oak Tree, the season features Garry Starr: Classic Penguins and Feeling Afraid As If Something Terrible Is Going to Happen, the latter starring Steven Webb and directed by Matthew Xia.
The ongoing run and diverse casting underscore An Oak Tree’s continuing appeal and its innovative approach to theatrical performance within the London fringe scene.
