Billy Elliot UK and Ireland tour extends with new venues to 2028
Billy Elliot the Musical has expanded its UK and Ireland tour with four additional stops, prolonging the run into early 2028. This extension brings the acclaimed show to key regional theatres across Wales, Ireland, and England after its West End return.
Billy Elliot the Musical will visit the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff from 10 to 28 August 2027, followed by the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in Dublin from 14 September to 9 October 2027. The tour then continues at the Alhambra in Bradford from 19 October to 6 November 2027, before heading to the Bristol Hippodrome from 1 to 26 February 2028.
These new dates add to previously confirmed engagements at Sunderland Empire from 4 to 28 November 2026, Palace Theatre Manchester from 2 December 2026 to 9 January 2027, and Edinburgh Playhouse from 19 January to 6 February 2027. After the regional tour, the production will return to the West End at the Adelphi Theatre for a limited run from 12 February to 31 July 2027.
This return to the West End marks the first time Billy Elliot will be staged there in more than a decade. The musical’s extended touring schedule reflects ongoing demand across the UK and Ireland.
Further dates for the tour are expected to be announced to complement the already substantial itinerary. The presence of high-profile cast members such as William Gurney, Spencer Collins, Elton John, Noah Mannion, and Rafferty Smale is highlighted in recent promotional photography.
The production continues to reach diverse audiences by playing a mix of major city venues and regional theatres, underscoring its enduring popularity. The tour’s expansion offers renewed opportunities for theatre fans beyond London to experience the show live.
