Debbie McGee Joins Touring Cast of Grease as Miss Lynch

Debbie McGee has been announced as part of the new touring production of Grease, taking on the role of Miss Lynch. The musical, directed by Nikolai Foster, will feature stops including Dublin, Blackpool, and Manchester.

Debbie McGee, known for her work as magician Paul Daniels’ assistant and a competitor on Strictly Come Dancing, will appear in the role of Miss Lynch in the upcoming Grease tour. The production, penned by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, follows the story of Danny and Sandy during their senior year at Rydell High School.

McGee trained at the Royal Ballet School and made history in 1991 as one of the first female members of The Magic Circle. Her involvement in the musical adds a fresh dimension to a well-known show featuring iconic numbers such as “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’,” and “Hopelessly Devoted to You.”

Nikolai Foster directs the production with choreography by Arlene Phillips, who won the 2023 WhatsOnStage Award for Best Choreography. The show previously received praise during its West End run at the Dominion Theatre, with WhatsOnStage describing it as a “thunderously good evening out.”

The creative team includes designer Colin Richmond, orchestrator and musical supervisor Sarah Travis, lighting designer Ben Cracknell, sound designers Tom Marshall and Richard Brooker, and casting director David Grindrod. The production has had two seasons in the West End and a tour in 2024.

The new tour for 2027 has confirmed dates across several UK cities, including a newly announced visit to Dublin. Further casting details for this season are yet to be announced.

Produced by Colin Ingram for InTheatre Productions and Curve, this latest Grease tour continues the show’s enduring popularity and cultural presence in UK theatre.
