Twelve performers to share iconic Giant role in TuckShop’s all-drag Jack and the Beanstalk

TuckShop has announced a rotating ensemble of 12 performers to play the Giant in its sixth annual all-drag pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk at London’s Emerald Theatre. The production’s unique casting and creative team offer a fresh adult take on the classic tale.

TuckShop’s Jack and the Beanstalk will feature Michael Marouli, Blu Hydrangea, Vanity Milan and nine additional performers—Black Peppa, Blu Romantic, Choriza May, HERR, KY Kelly, Mocha, Nyongbella, Tayris Mongardi and Tiana Biscuit—sharing the role of the Giant. This rotating line-up is a hallmark of the company’s sixth year of staging all-drag pantomimes.

The wider cast includes Bones as Jack, Kitty Scott-Claus as Princess Jill, Rosé and Kyran Thrax alternating as Fleshcreep, Kate Butch as Jack’s mother, Yshee Black as Fairy Liquid, dairy-themed drag king Dairy King as The Milkman, Cheryl Hole as Cheryl The Cow, and Ophelia Love as Villager No. 4. Rosé performs Fleshcreep until 23 December, with Kyran Thrax taking over from 27 December.

Written by Kate Butch, Crudi Dench and Eleanor Mason and directed by Christopher D Clegg, the show follows Jack’s decision to trade his best friend, a cow, for magical beans. The production carries an 18-plus age guidance and is aimed at adult audiences, embedding mature themes within the familiar fairy tale.

Choreography is by Taz Hoesli, with Frazer Meakin as associate director, and production management handled by Production Solutions Group. The press performance is scheduled for 9 December, ahead of the full run from 2 December 2026 to 10 January 2027 at the Emerald Theatre.

TuckShop’s continued dedication to all-drag pantomime offers a distinct theatrical experience, blending camp performance styles with traditional storytelling. Their innovative casting approach underscores ongoing interest in diverse and inclusive theatre practices.
