Wild About You announces cast for full London run at Charing Cross Theatre
The musical Wild About You has confirmed its cast for a full London stage production at Charing Cross Theatre, marking its first extended run after earlier concert performances. The show, with a book by Dani Stoller and music and lyrics by Chilina Kennedy, will run from January to April 2027.
Wild About You, which previously played a series of concerts at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, will open its fully staged London run at Charing Cross Theatre from 18 January to 10 April 2027. The musical centres on Billy, who discovers a trunk of letters written by his late mother on the day of his high school graduation party.
The creative team features director Kristin Hanggi alongside music supervisor, orchestrator and arranger Daniel Edmonds. Brian Spector serves as producer with Caitlin McNeilage as associate producer, while further members of the creative team have yet to be announced.
The confirmed cast is led by Jodie Steele as Olivia, Stewart Clarke as Michael, and Alfie Friedman as Billy. They are joined by Danielle Steers as Jess, Bea Ward as Scoot, and Cassandra McCowan in the female ensemble.
A recording of the musical is available to listen to, providing audiences a preview of Chilina Kennedy’s score and the emotionally charged storyline.
Brian Spector highlighted the impact of the prior sold-out concerts, saying the production is “a deeply moving journey of love, discovery and connection” brought to life by a cast delivering “raw emotional depth” and “soaring vocals.”
Further casting announcements are still to come as the show prepares for its London premiere, which aims to build on the buzz created by its earlier concert iterations.
