What is Back to the Future The Musical about?

The show follows teenager Marty McFly who is accidentally sent back to 1955 in a time machine built by eccentric scientist Doc Brown, where he risks erasing his own existence by disrupting his parents’ first meeting and must fix history to get home.

Has Back to the Future The Musical won any awards?

Back to the Future The Musical has won major theatre awards including the 2022 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical, along with WhatsOnStage and Broadway World awards recognising it as a standout new production.

How long is the performance of Back to the Future The Musical?

The musical typically runs for around two and a half hours including an interval, so planning for an evening out you should expect to be at the theatre for most of the night.

Is Back to the Future The Musical suitable for children?

The show is generally family friendly with a fun sci fi story, energetic songs, and spectacular stage effects, but parents should be aware that some scenes include mild language and comic peril similar to the original film.

What are the best ways to get cheap tickets in Bristol?

To find cheaper tickets, look at midweek performances and off peak dates, book early when new seats are released, and compare prices across different seating areas as restricted view or upper circle seats are often significantly cheaper than premium stalls.

Are there discounts or special ticket offers available?

Venues and ticket sellers sometimes run special offers such as early booking discounts, no fee promotions, group rates, or last minute deals, so it helps to check multiple official ticket vendors and sign up for theatre newsletters to hear about sales quickly.

Can I buy same day or last minute tickets?

Same day tickets may be available if a performance is not sold out, and checking earlier in the day for returned or late release seats can sometimes unlock lower prices than booking well in advance for popular weekend shows.

What is the Bristol Hippodrome like as a venue?

The Bristol Hippodrome is a large historic theatre known for hosting major touring musicals, offering a mix of stalls, circle, and upper circle seating, with good sightlines from most areas but the very back and high sides sometimes having more limited views.

Does Back to the Future The Musical include songs from the film?

The stage show combines new songs written for the musical with classic hits from the movie such as The Power of Love, Johnny B Goode, Earth Angel, and Back in Time, giving fans both fresh material and familiar favourites.

How far in advance should I book tickets for Bristol dates?

Because Bristol is the opening city of the UK tour and the run lasts several weeks, weekend and peak performances are likely to sell fastest, so booking those dates as early as possible gives better choice, while off peak midweek dates may remain available closer to the time for more flexible or price conscious theatregoers.
