The hit teen musical Grease is set to embark on a new UK tour, with the first dates for 2027 now confirmed. The production, directed by Nikolai Foster, previously enjoyed West End success and a 2024 tour, marking a significant return for fans.

Grease, the beloved musical penned by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, follows high schoolers Danny and Sandy during their senior year at Rydell High. Director Nikolai Foster returns to helm the new tour, promising to revive the show’s iconic scenes and characters.

The production features memorable songs including “Summer Nights,” “Hand Jive,” and “Hopelessly Devoted To You,” which have become staples of the musical theatre repertoire. Choreographer Arlene Phillips, who won the 2023 WhatsOnStage Award for Best Choreography, also returns to shape the show’s energetic dance sequences.

The upcoming tour will draw on the success of previous West End runs at the Dominion Theatre and the 2024 tour. During its time at the Dominion, the show was described by WhatsOnStage as a “thunderously good evening out.”

Details on the cast and creative team for the 2027 tour are yet to be announced, with further information expected in due course. The confirmed dates for the new season are available on the show’s official tour page.

This latest announcement underlines the ongoing popularity of Grease as a fixture in British musical theatre, sustaining its appeal across multiple decades and productions.
