Jack Ashton headlines Our Man in Havana UK tour from Theatre Royal Windsor

Full casting has been revealed for the stage adaptation of Graham Greene’s Our Man in Havana, starring Jack Ashton and Jodie Steele. Opening at Theatre Royal Windsor in July 2026, the production will tour seven UK venues through early September.

Our Man in Havana, adapted by Clive Francis from Graham Greene’s classic novel, will open at Theatre Royal Windsor from 1 to 11 July 2026. Jack Ashton, known for Call the Midwife, leads the cast alongside Bob Barrett, Leon Ockenden and Jodie Steele. Together, the four actors will perform over 30 roles to evoke 1950s Havana.

The narrative follows James Wormold, a British vacuum cleaner salesman in pre-revolutionary Cuba who is recruited by MI6 — a story blending espionage and satirical comedy. The production is directed by Philip Wilson, with set and costume design by Julie Godfrey, lighting by Nick Richings and sound design by Andy Graham.

After Windsor, the production will tour Salisbury Playhouse (14–18 July), Oxford Playhouse (28 July–1 August), Theatre Royal Bath (4–8 August), Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Guildford (11–15 August), Cheltenham Everyman Theatre (18–22 August), Malvern Theatres (25–29 August) and Cambridge Arts Theatre (1–5 September).

Our Man in Havana is part of Theatre Royal Windsor’s 2026 Season on Tour, which also includes Noël Coward’s The Marquise and the revival of Royce Ryton’s thriller The Anastasia File. These selections emphasize a season mixing classic literature and dramatic thrillers.

The casting choice sees a compact ensemble tackling multiple characters, suggesting a fast-paced, fluid staging to capture the novel’s complex world. This touring production will bring Graham Greene’s mid-century espionage tale to a wide UK audience over the summer months.
