Complete cast revealed for Secret Cinema’s immersive Grease musical at Evolution London

Secret Cinema has announced the full company for Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical, set to run at Evolution London from 22 July to 13 September 2026. The production combines live performances with the 1978 film for a unique audience experience.

Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical, based on the iconic 1978 film Grease, will feature a cast of 30 performers accompanied by a live band. Audiences are invited to move freely through Rydell High, visiting locations such as Frosty Palace, the autoshop, and a carnival, while essential scenes and musical numbers unfold around them.

Performers will lead guests through participatory moments including a pep rally, choir rehearsal, and other film-inspired events. The immersive setup is complemented by food and drink themed around a 1950s American diner, deepening the period atmosphere.

The cast includes Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson as Teen Angel alongside Stephanie Costi and Lucy Penrose reprising their roles as Sandy and Rizzo. Giórgios Michaelídes plays Danny with Arcangelo Ciulla as Kenickie, joined by Kieran Alleyne, Charlotte Avery, Em Barrett, Michelle Bishop, and many others filling out the ensemble.

The creative team is led by director Matt Costain, with choreography from Jennifer Weber. Further creative contributions come from set designer Tom Rogers, lighting designer Howard Hudson, and sound designer Gareth Fry. Steve Sidwell supervises the music, with arrangements and orchestration also under his direction.

Video design is by Ian William Galloway, while costuming is managed by Susan Kulkarni and Martina Trottman. Wigs, hair, and makeup are designed by Farida Ghwedar and Jessie Deol, with casting handled by Grace McInerny for Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting.

Audience members will have the option of roam and return seating, allowing them to explore the environment before settling into allocated seats in thematic areas such as the Frosty Diner and the Drive-In. This approach enhances the immersive quality of the production.

Produced by Secret Cinema and TodayTix, with artistic director Merritt Baer and executive producer Ben Hosford, the musical follows a sold-out 2025 run. The show received a glowing review from WhatsOnStage last year, confirming its appeal as a fresh take on a beloved classic.
