Vanessa Williams and Matt Henry to Bow Out of The Devil Wears Prada Musical in 2026
Vanessa Williams and Matt Henry have announced their final performances in The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical at London’s Dominion Theatre, marking key changes in the West End cast of this fashion-focused show.
Williams, who originated the role of Miranda Priestly, will give her last performance on 19 September 2026, while Henry, portraying Nigel, will exit on 17 October 2026. Details of their replacements have yet to be disclosed.
The current ensemble features Stevie Doc as Andy, Taila Halford as Emily, Keelan McAuley as Nate, and Dominic Andersen as Christian, supported by a large ensemble cast including Gabby Antrobus, Georgia Aspinall, and many others.
The musical is based on Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel and the 2006 film of the same name. The story centres on Andy, an aspiring journalist navigating the high-stakes world of fashion under the tutelage of Miranda Priestly.
Musical contributions come from Elton John (music), Shaina Taub (lyrics), and Mark Sonnenblick (lyrics), with the book written by Kate Wetherhead. Tony winner Jerry Mitchell directs and choreographs the production.
Technical design credits include Tim Hatley (set), Gregg Barnes (costumes), Bruno Poet (lighting), Gareth Owen (sound), and Jill Green (casting). The show originally opened at Theatre Royal Plymouth in 2024 before transferring to the Dominion Theatre.
Upon its move to the Dominion, The Devil Wears Prada became the venue’s fastest-selling show and is currently booking performances through 6 February 2027.
Williams also recently made a public appearance at West End Live, highlighting her ongoing engagement with the West End theatre scene as her final run extends into late 2026.
