SNL UK announces return date and full cast for second season on Sky

Saturday Night Live UK will return to Sky and NOW on 12 September, with its entire original cast reprising roles for six live episodes this autumn. The British sketch series follows its inaugural run and promises weekly live shows featuring new celebrity hosts and musical guests.

Saturday Night Live UK will resume broadcasting on Sky and NOW from Saturday 12 September, launching its second season with six live episodes this autumn. The series will air weekly, each featuring a different celebrity host and musical guest alongside the returning core cast.

All 11 members of the original ensemble are confirmed to return, including Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi, and Paddy Young. Their presence continues to anchor the British adaptation of the US sketch show.

The show’s live studio recordings are open to fans who can apply for tickets through an official ballot, which opens at 10am on Friday 14 August. This offers viewers the rare chance to attend live tapings in person.

Following the initial autumn run on 12, 19 and 26 September, then 10, 17 and 24 October, a further set of episodes is scheduled for early 2027. This second season continues to explore topical humour with fresh celebrity participation each week.

Since launching earlier this year, SNL UK has brought the format of the iconic American series into a British context, with emphasis on live, topical comedy and varied guests. This latest announcement underlines the show’s commitment to live broadcast and ensemble performance.

The series forms part of a broader trend for UK broadcasters engaging with live variety and sketch comedy, aiming to cement a distinctive version of Saturday Night Live’s long-standing format.
