WhatsOnStage Awards 2027 set for London Palladium on 28 February

The 27th Annual WhatsOnStage Awards will return to the London Palladium for its fourth consecutive year on Sunday 28 February 2027. The awards remain the only major UK theatre honours decided entirely by theatregoers.

The 27th WhatsOnStage Awards ceremony will take place at the iconic London Palladium on Sunday 28 February 2027, beginning at 6.30pm. The event will celebrate winners across a broad range of theatre categories, featuring exclusive live performances from leading stage talents.

Nominations open on Thursday 5 November 2026, with full eligibility criteria to be published on the WhatsOnStage Awards website in September. A shortlist of nominees will be announced in early December.

The awards strongly emphasise public participation, with theatre fans able to nominate and vote for their favourite shows and individuals. This voter-led approach distinguishes WhatsOnStage from other major theatre awards.

The 2027 ceremony is supported by industry partners including platinum sponsors Disney Theatrical, Preevue, AudienceView and White Light. Additional supporters include The Londoner as the Official Hotel Partner alongside AKA, Concord, Dewynters, Go Live Theatre, ROYO, SINE Digital, Studio Twenty, Theatrical Rights Worldwide, Ticketmaster, Trafalgar Entertainment and Travelzoo.

Darius Thompson and Alex Wood of WhatsOnStage expressed excitement at returning to the London Palladium for a fourth year, highlighting the UK theatre scene’s ongoing vibrancy and the ceremony’s role in recognising a wide range of creative contributions.

Tickets for the awards go on sale in September, with notifications available via WhatsOnStage newsletters. The event continues to embody the evolving ecosystem of UK theatre, engaging audiences nationwide.
