Full cast revealed for Jesus Christ Superstar at Drury Lane with on-stage tickets

The full cast for Jesus Christ Superstar’s West End return at Theatre Royal Drury Lane has been confirmed, alongside plans to release over 7,000 £25 on-stage standing tickets. The production features Sam Ryder as Jesus and Tyrone Huntley returning as Judas.

Jesus Christ Superstar, following a sold-out summer season at The London Palladium, will transfer to Theatre Royal Drury Lane from 16 October 2026 to 9 January 2027. The show will then embark on a UK tour from February 2027.

Tyrone Huntley will reprise his role as Judas, performing six times a week, while Matty J will serve as alternate Judas on Thursdays and continue playing Annas during other performances.

Sam Ryder stars as Jesus in this iteration of the rock opera, with Matthew Harvey on standby for the role. Eric Lewis takes on the role of Simon, while Desmonda Cathabel plays Mary Magdalene.

David Thaxton will portray Pontius Pilate, Bob Harms appears as Caiaphas, and Phil King takes the role of Peter. The casting rounds out a strong ensemble for this established musical.

The production will offer more than 7,000 £25 standing tickets located on stage, providing audiences with an immersive theatrical experience.

This release strategy follows the show’s recent successful run at The London Palladium, emphasising accessibility and audience engagement in its upcoming West End tenure.
