Antonio Cipriano to lead one-night concert of Joey Contreras’ In Pieces at The Other Palace
Joey Contreras’ musical In Pieces will be presented in a one-night-only concert at London’s The Other Palace on 30 March 2026, with Antonio Cipriano starring. This marks a significant step in the musical’s development following multiple sold-out performances and digital releases.
In Pieces, a love story focusing on the people you don’t end up with, will be shown as a concert production directed by Martha Geelan and musically directed by Brian Russell Carey. Antonio Cipriano, known for originating the role of Phoenix in the Broadway production of Jagged Little Pill and for his screen work in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, will lead the cast as Peter. Full casting is yet to be announced.
The production is produced by Andrew Patino, head of Regular People, who said the musical’s growth has been “truly astonishing” and credited fan support for bringing the concert to life. Contreras, who co-orchestrates the show with Carey, noted the importance of the London audience, highlighting how sharing the music online has created a sense of connection and community leading up to this presentation.
In Pieces has already enjoyed multiple sold-out shows, including performances at Joe’s Pub in New York City, and has been supported by a digital live-capture release and a deluxe highlights album through Broadway Records. The story spans three chapters in the lives of six characters and explores the complex nature of romantic relationships that don’t end as planned.
The concert will be presented by Regular People in collaboration with producers Arielle Smith, Sandie Browne, Ken Davenport, and Brianna DaVault. The creative team’s presentation marks the next phase in the musical’s development, offering audiences a rare opportunity to see the piece live as its work-in-progress form.
This concertic event reflects a growing trend in showcasing musicals in concert format as a developmental and promotional tool, allowing creators to engage directly with audiences and build momentum for new works. In Pieces continues to draw attention through its distinctive focus on nuanced relationships and its dynamic blend of online and live engagement.
