Broadway’s Fallen Angels with Rose Byrne and Kelli O’Hara heads to UK cinemas

The Broadway revival of Noël Coward’s Fallen Angels, starring Rose Byrne and Kelli O’Hara, will be screened in cinemas across the UK this October, offering audiences nationwide a chance to experience the acclaimed production on the big screen.

The Roundabout Theatre Company’s 2026 revival of Fallen Angels was filmed live at Broadway’s Todd Haimes Theatre and will be shown in UK cinemas starting 22 October. Directed by Scott Ellis, the production features Academy Award nominee Rose Byrne and Tony Award winner Kelli O’Hara in leading roles.

The play, debuting originally in 1925, centres on two upper-class wives who share toasts to their past romantic entanglements — with the same man — while their husbands are away for the day. The plot thickens with the possibility of the man arriving from France.

Byrne described the experience as “so special” and praised Noël Coward’s writing as “the perfect entertaining escape.” O’Hara echoed this, calling the play “a delicious escape into frivolity” and recognising Coward as a “comic genius.”

The cast also includes Tracee Chimo, Emmy winner Mark Consuelos in his Broadway debut, Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald, and Aasif Mandvi. The creative team features David Rockwell (set design), Jeff Mahshie (costumes), and Kenneth Posner (lighting), among others.

Fallen Angels earned five Tony nominations, securing the award for Best Costume Design of a Play. The live capture is a collaboration between Trafalgar Releasing and BroadwayHD.

The film will have a limited cinema run not only in the UK but also in North America, Australia, and select international territories, broadening access to the revival beyond its Broadway origins.
