Complete cast revealed for High Society revival at Barbican in 2026

The full cast has been announced for the High Society revival, set to run at the Barbican from May to July 2026. The production features Helen George, Felicity Kendal, and Freddie Fox, among others, in Cole Porter’s classic musical.

High Society, with music and lyrics by Cole Porter and a book by Arthur Kopit, will begin performances on 19 May 2026 and run until 11 July at the Barbican Theatre. The show is based on Philip Barry’s play The Philadelphia Story and incorporates additional lyrics by Susan Birkenhead.

Directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, the production boasts choreography by Anthony Van Laast and musical supervision by Stephen Ridley, who will lead a full orchestra. The musical includes Porter standards such as “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” “I Love Paris,” and “Just One of Those Things.”

The story centers on the preparations for a society wedding that begin to unravel as past relationships resurface and an intrusive reporter disrupts the proceedings. Helen George and Felicity Kendal, previously announced leads, will be joined by Freddie Fox as Mike Connor, Julian Ovenden as Dexter Haven, Carly Mercedes Dyer as Liz, Nigel Lindsay as Uncle Willie, and Malcolm Sinclair as Seth Lord.

The London cast is further completed by Naomi Pacquette, David Seadon-Young, James Hume, Bethany Adamson, David Austin-Barnes, Jabari Braham, and numerous others. This ensemble will bring together a wealth of talent to capture the glamour and sophistication of Porter’s work.

Producer Howard Panter described the show as one that “sparkles with wit, romance and sheer theatrical joy,” expressing enthusiasm for the cast’s “unique brilliance, charisma and musicality.” The creative team also includes set designer Tom Rogers, sound designer Adam Fisher, lighting designer Howard Hudson, costume designer Jon Morrell, and wigs designer Helen Keane.

Presented by Howard Panter for Trafalgar Theatre Productions alongside Brian and Dayna Lee in association with the Barbican, High Society promises a lavish theatrical experience for London audiences this summer.
