Derren Brown’s Only Human to open at Apollo Theatre in autumn 2026
Derren Brown’s new show, Only Human, is set to transfer to the West End with a run at the Apollo Theatre from October 2026. Following a UK and Ireland tour, the production promises Brown’s signature psychological entertainment in his 11th West End appearance.
Only Human will conclude its UK and Ireland tour with a West End season at the Apollo Theatre, running from 10 October 2026 to 30 January 2027. A press night is scheduled for 21 October, followed by a gala night on 22 October, marking a high-profile return for the celebrated illusionist and mentalist.
The show is co-written by Derren Brown alongside Andrew O’Connor and Stephen Long, with O’Connor also directing. The creative team includes Simon Higlett on set design, Simon Wainwright handling video design, Charlie Morgan Jones responsible for lighting, and Beth Duke on sound design.
Tickets for the West End run of Only Human will go on sale at 10am on 23 April 2026. The production is presented by arrangement with Vaudeville Productions and others, with general management by John Dalston, the show’s executive producer.
Before arriving in London, Only Human will tour extensively across the UK and Ireland. The schedule includes venues such as De Montfort Hall in Leicester, the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, the Birmingham Hippodrome, and the Edinburgh Playhouse among others, with dates running from late April through early August 2026.
Brown described the show simply as “a big party,” inviting audiences to “come and bring a friend,” signalling a communal and engaging experience. Only Human is Brown’s 11th show to play in the West End, reinforcing his long-standing presence in British theatre.
The tour and subsequent West End run underline a continued appetite for psychological performance and mentalism on the London stage, with Brown remaining a leading figure in the genre.
