Johannes Radebe to join Strictly Come Dancing hosting trio from 2026

Professional dancer Johannes Radebe has been confirmed as one of the new presenters of Strictly Come Dancing starting in September 2026. This marks a shift in the show’s lineup following the exits of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

The BBC announced that Johannes Radebe will co-host Strictly Come Dancing alongside Emma Willis and Josh Widdicombe, stepping into the presenting role after Daly and Winkleman leave at the end of 2025. His debut as a presenter comes after an extensive performing career with the show since joining as a professional dancer in 2018.

Radebe is currently appearing in the lead role of Lola in the West End production of Kinky Boots at the London Coliseum, which runs until 11 July 2026. He has performed as Lola on the UK and Ireland touring production since January 2025 before securing the West End engagement.

Before his theatre work, Radebe toured solo shows titled Freedom and Freedom Unleashed, which featured dance-focused performances. His transition from dance tours to musical theatre showcases his versatility as a performer beyond television.

At the London Coliseum, Radebe shares the stage with Matt Cardle as Charlie Price and Courtney Bowman as Lauren, with Tosh Wanogho-Maud as an alternate Lola. The show is a collaboration between Harvey Fierstein, who wrote the book, and Cyndi Lauper, the composer.

The new presenting setup reflects the evolving nature of Strictly Come Dancing, which has previously incorporated former professional dancers into hosting roles. Radebe’s move into presenting rounds out a multifaceted career in dance, theatre, and television within the popular franchise.
