Kilworth House announces cast for open-air Anything Goes revival
Kilworth House Theatre has revealed the cast for its summer 2026 production of Cole Porter’s Anything Goes, signalling a return to classic musical theatre at the open-air venue. The revival, directed by Lee Proud, promises a sparkling transatlantic romp full of Porter’s well-known songs.
The open-air production of Anything Goes will run for 48 performances at Kilworth House between 23 June and 2 August 2026. Set aboard the SS American, the musical follows nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and a colourful group of passengers caught up in romance and comic misunderstandings.
Emily-Mae Walker will take the lead role of Reno Sweeney, with Richard Carson cast as Billy Crocker. Other principal roles include Megan Gardiner as Hope Harcourt, Tom Hopcroft as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, Dougie Carter as Moonface Martine, Sophie Naglik as Erma, Thomas Sutcliffe as Elisha Whitney, and Penelope Woodman as Evangeline Harcourt.
Cole Porter’s classic score features memorable songs such as “I Get a Kick Out of You”, “You’re the Top”, “Friendship”, and the title number “Anything Goes”. The book, originally by Guy Bolton and P G Wodehouse and revised by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, underpins the show’s lively and tangled plot.
Lee Proud returns to Kilworth House as director and choreographer, joining the same creative team that brought productions of 42nd Street, Singin’ in the Rain, and Hairspray to the venue. The musical supervision is by Rick Coates, while Phillip Witcomb handles set and costume design, Jason Taylor is on lighting, and Chris Whybrow manages sound.
The ensemble cast includes Lindsay Atherton, Charlie Bishop, Ellie-Grace Cousins, Lauren Dawes, Benjamin Drew, Tia Gyngell, Helen Rose George, Gregor McCann, Robert Adam McNeilly, Charlie Robert Gary Miller, Alanna Panditaratne, Toby Seddon, Poppy Sharman, Aidan Stuart, and Thomas Walton.
Other creative team members are associate director and choreographer Emma Hunter, casting director Sarah Goggin, and producer Celia Mackay. The production is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC.
This revival continues Kilworth House’s tradition of staging classic musicals in its open-air setting, offering audiences a chance to experience Cole Porter’s joyous score amid the summer landscape.
