Megan Hilty and Rachel Tucker lead Gentlemen Prefer Blondes concert at Palladium
Megan Hilty and Rachel Tucker will star in a new concert production of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes at the London Palladium in March 2027. The event revives the classic musical with a 30-piece orchestra and a celebrated creative team.
The concert of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes will be staged across three performances at the London Palladium on 26 and 27 March 2027. Megan Hilty will take the role of Lorelei Lee, while Rachel Tucker will play Dorothy Shaw in this concert run directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle.
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes charts the adventures of Lorelei and Dorothy aboard an ocean liner heading to Paris. The musical features iconic songs by Jule Styne and Leo Robin, including “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend,” “A Little Girl from Little Rock,” and “Bye Bye Baby.”
The original production opened on Broadway in 1949 with Carol Channing as Lorelei Lee, and later inspired the 1953 film starring Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell. Hilty previously portrayed Lorelei in the New York City Center Encores! presentation.
Both leads bring extensive theatre experience: Hilty’s credits include Death Becomes Her, Wicked, and 9 to 5: The Musical, as well as the television series Smash. Tucker has appeared in Wicked, Come From Away, Sunset Boulevard, and is involved in the world premiere of Thelma and Louise.
The production team features musical director Alan Williams, set and costume designer Rebecca Brower, lighting designer Zoe Spurr, associate choreographer Joanna Goodwin, and associate director Mark Hedges. Casting is handled by Pearsons Casting, with QUBE Theatricals managing the production.
Tickets for Gentlemen Prefer Blondes in Concert will be available from 18 September 2026. Further casting announcements are expected ahead of the March performances.
