Paddington Bear to Present at 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards This February
Paddington Bear will make a special appearance at the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards, where he is set to both attend and present. The ceremony promises notable performances and a host of acclaimed presenters.
The 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards will take place on Sunday 22 February at 7.00pm, broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer. Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s artistic director Alan Cumming will host Britain’s biggest night in film.
Paddington Bear is confirmed as a special guest who will present awards during the ceremony, adding a family-friendly touch to the event. Alongside Paddington, a major musical moment is planned featuring the stars behind Netflix’s global KPop hit Demon Hunters performing their song “Golden” live outside the United States for the first time.
Singer-songwriter Jessie Ware will perform exclusively during the In Memoriam segment, honouring film industry members who have passed away in the last year. BAFTA’s executive director of Awards and Content, Emma Baehr, emphasised the ceremony as a celebration of creativity, craft and collaboration in British and global cinema.
The event has already announced an impressive roster of presenters, including Aimee Lou Wood, Stormzy, Erin Doherty, Gillian Anderson, Bryan Cranston, Alicia Vikander, Regé-Jean Page, Sarah Snook, Hannah Waddingham, Riz Ahmed and Warwick Davis.
BAFTA describes the 2026 ceremony as a vibrant occasion featuring some of the finest talent in film and the creative industries, promising an “unforgettable” experience for audiences both at home and in attendance.
