Six to close after record-breaking Broadway run at Lena Horne Theatre

The hit musical Six will end its Broadway run at the Lena Horne Theatre after 2,178 performances, marking a significant moment for the show and the venue. Its final performance is scheduled for 3 January 2027.

Six, the Tudor-themed pop musical by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, will conclude its tenure at the Lena Horne Theatre in early 2027. Since beginning performances in 2020, Six has become the longest-running show in the theatre’s history, previously known as the Brooks Atkinson.

With a total of 2,178 performances, Six ranks as the 40th-longest-running show in Broadway history and is the seventh-longest-running Broadway musical to have originated from the UK. The production notably opened on Broadway on 12 March 2020, the day the COVID-19 pandemic forced shutdowns, and became the first new musical to reopen post-lockdown.

The original Broadway cast included Adrianna Hicks, Andrea Macasaet, Abby Mueller, Brittney Mack, Samantha Pauly, and Anna Uzele. The current lineup features Natalie Paris, Khaila Wilcoxon, Chloe Tucker Caine, Olivia Donalson, Stephanie Jae Park, and Aimie Atkinson, supported by alternates Lauryn Adams, Aryn Bohannon, Maggie Likcani, and Aiyana Smash.

Six received critical acclaim during its run, winning the Tony Award for Best Original Score and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Broadway Musical in 2022. The show is co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage, with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille.

The creative team also includes Emma Bailey (scenic design), Tony Award-winner Gabriella Slade (costume design), Tim Deiling (lighting design), Paul Gatehouse (sound design), Tom Curran (orchestrations), Joe Beighton (music supervision), and Roberta Duchak (U.S. music supervision).

A filmed version of Six, featuring Natalie Paris, Aimie Atkinson, and the original West End cast, is currently available internationally, extending the show’s reach beyond the stage.
