The Phantom of the Opera extends West End run into 2027 ahead of 40th anniversary

The Phantom of the Opera has confirmed an extension of its West End run at His Majesty’s Theatre through 2027. This milestone coincides with preparations for the musical’s 40th anniversary in London.

The long-running production of The Phantom of the Opera will continue at His Majesty’s Theatre, maintaining its position as one of the West End’s enduring musicals. The extension ensures that audiences can see the show well into the next year.

The current principal cast features Dean Chisnall as The Phantom and Lily Kerhoas as Christine Daaé, with Beatrice Penny-Touré set to take over the role from 2 March. Adam Rhys-Charles plays Raoul, accompanied by Joanna Ampil as Carlotta Giudicelli and Bradyn Debysingh as Ubaldo Piangi.

The supporting cast includes Martin Ball as Monsieur Firmin and Adam Linstead as Monsieur André, as well as Helen Hobson and Millie Lyon portraying Madame Giry and Meg Giry respectively. On select performances, Colleen Rose Curran also appears as Christine Daaé.

A wider ensemble features a mix of established and emerging performers, rounding out the company with names such as George Arvidson, Michael Baxter, Embla Bishop and others. This extensive company reflects the production’s large-scale demands and ongoing appeal.

The Phantom of the Opera remains a fixture of London’s theatre landscape as it approaches four decades since its original West End debut. The extension into 2027 marks a notable chapter in the show’s history at His Majesty’s Theatre.
