Oliver! West End revival extends run into March 2027 with fresh tickets
Cameron Mackintosh’s hit revival of Oliver! at the West End has announced an extension of its booking period until 13 March 2027. The production, acclaimed at Chichester Festival Theatre and praised for its creative team, remains a major draw with new tickets going on sale this month.
Oliver!, the musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist by Lionel Bart, will continue its London run following a successful revival devised by Cameron Mackintosh. The show, directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne with co-direction by Jean-Pierre van der Spuy, originally premiered at Chichester Festival Theatre, earning a five-star review from WhatsOnStage and securing a WhatsOnStage Award.
The story follows the young orphan Oliver as he escapes the harsh conditions of a workhouse to navigate London’s criminal underworld. Well-known songs like “Food Glorious Food,” “Consider Yourself,” “You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two,” and “As Long As He Needs Me” feature prominently in the production’s score.
The West End cast sharing the role of Oliver Twist includes Ryo Appadu, James Miller, Jacobs Sanders-Jones, Isaac Hackett, and Thomas Newman. The ensemble features Simon Lipkin as Fagin, Aaron Sidwell as Bill Sikes, Ava Brennan as Nancy, and Aaron MacGregor as the Artful Dodger.
Supporting cast members include Oscar Conlon-Morrey as Mr Bumble, Katy Secombe as Widow Corney, Stephen Matthews as Mr Sowerberry and Dr Grimwig, Jamie Birkett as Mrs Sowerberry and Mrs Bedwin, and Philip Franks as Mr Brownlow. The production benefits from a strong creative team with Lez Brotherston’s design, musical supervision and conducting by Graham Hurman, and lighting by Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs.
Additional creative roles include sound design by Adam Fisher, projection design by George Reeve, and original orchestrations by William David Brohn. Stephen Metcalfe has adapted the orchestration, while Etta Murfitt and Sam Archer serve as choreographic associates. Casting directors Felicity French and Paul Wooller, alongside children’s casting director Verity Naughton, completed the team.
Tickets for the extended West End run of Oliver! will be available from 11am on Thursday 12 March, allowing audiences a chance to experience the celebrated production well into 2027.
