The Old Vic to stage Glengarry Glen Ross with all-female cast in 2026
The Old Vic has unveiled plans for a new production of David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross, directed by Patrick Marber and featuring an all-female cast. The play will run from June to July 2026 as part of artistic director Matthew Warchus’s final season.
The Old Vic will present Glengarry Glen Ross from 4 June to 18 July 2026, with a press night scheduled for 17 June. Directed by Patrick Marber, the production marks his debut at the London venue. Marber previously helmed a revival of the play on Broadway in 2025.
The staging will feature an all-female cast, a notable departure from previous male ensembles. The production will be presented in the round, consistent with all shows during Warchus’s final season as artistic director.
David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross premiered at the National Theatre in 1983 and later won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1984. The play centres on a cutthroat sales contest among real estate agents, where only the top performers survive.
The drama was famously adapted into a film in 1992, further cementing its place in theatrical and cinematic history. Despite its well-established pedigree, casting details for the Old Vic’s new staging have yet to be announced.
Tickets will become available to members on 13 April, with general booking beginning on 14 April. This production contributes to the Old Vic’s continued commitment to revisiting classics through contemporary interpretations.
