Hugh Jackman and Sonia Friedman’s Together set 2026 Audible streaming dates
Hugh Jackman and Sonia Friedman’s theatre company Together has announced global streaming dates for productions from their 2023 season at New York’s Minetta Lane Theatre. The move extends the reach of their accessible, ensemble-driven work through Audible Originals.
Together, the theatrical partnership between Sonia Friedman and Hugh Jackman, concluded its second repertory season at the Minetta Lane Theatre in New York in June 2023. The season featured three productions directed by Ian Rickson, with the final play, What Happened Was…, ending on 14 June 2023.
The season also included New Born, written by Ella Hickson and featuring monologues performed by Marianna Gailus, Jackman himself, and Sepideh Moafi, which closed on 8 June. Earlier, Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes by Hannah Moscovitch ran from 17 March to 20 May.
The revival of Tom Noonan’s What Happened Was… starred Corey Stoll and Cecily Strong and is scheduled for global release as an Audible Original on 29 October 2026. New Born will follow as an Audible Original on 28 January 2027. Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes is already available on Audible.
Throughout the season, understudies Atra Asdou, Sophia Talwalkar and R.J. Foster performed dedicated matinee shows. The company emphasised accessibility, offering 25% of tickets at $35 on performance days and distributing over 11,000 affordable or complimentary tickets. Together maintained a partnership with TDF, providing 50 free tickets per show to community groups in the tri-state area.
Kate Navin, Audible’s head of creative development for North America, praised the collaboration with Friedman, Jackman and Rickson, highlighting its commitment to accessible, world-class theatre. The productions aim to create a shared storytelling experience that now reaches worldwide audiences in audio form.
Together was founded to present fully rehearsed productions in intimate settings with a focus on ensemble work and affordable pricing. While their Audible releases extend their reach internationally, the company has indicated plans to stage shows in the UK in the future.
