West End Live 2026 set for Trafalgar Square with expanded line-up and eco focus

West End Live will return to Trafalgar Square on 20 and 21 June 2026, featuring a broad range of free performances from West End shows. The event continues its eco-conscious production practices and introduces new participation opportunities for audiences.

West End Live 2026 is scheduled for the weekend of Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June in Trafalgar Square, offering free access to the public without the need for tickets. The event showcases performances from numerous West End productions alongside backstage content streamed via Official London Theatre’s YouTube and social media channels.

The festival is presented annually by Westminster City Council and the Society of London Theatre. For the second year running, the organisers will maintain the environmentally focused production model first introduced in 2025, which utilises large-scale battery-powered staging to reduce carbon emissions while supporting live performances and technical demands.

Alongside environmental measures, efforts continue to minimise single-use plastics at the site. The expanded programme for 2026 includes new shows such as Dark Of The Moon, English National Opera, Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical, Heathers: The Musical, Into The Woods, Jane Eyre, Jersey Boys, The Karate Kid – The Musical, and Love Never Dies In Concert.

Additional offerings include Liberace And Liza: A Tribute, Noël Coward In The West End featuring Robert Hazle and Helena Northcote, Shanay Holmes, and Sirens: The Concert Series. This marks a significant broadening of the event’s theatrical variety.

Audience engagement will be enhanced through an online competition that awards 100 queue-jump places daily, providing separate entrance access. One winner will also gain backstage access during the festival alongside Theatre Tokens and merchandise vouchers.

Accessibility remains a priority with designated viewing areas available by advance registration, British Sign Language interpretation, and a calm space for visitors requiring a quieter environment. The event is supported by a range of theatre organisations, partners, and sponsors, ensuring it remains free to attend.
