Peter Andre is set to take on the role of Nikos for selected performances from 14 May until 23 July 2026, while Sam Bailey will play Debbie from 14 May 2026 through to 4 April 2027. The show runs at a Greek taverna setting where music, food, and storytelling combine.
Andre expressed enthusiasm for joining the cast, noting his personal connection to the Greek character and highlighting the mix of singing, dancing, and cuisine the show offers. Bailey also commented on the joy the production brings to audiences and her excitement to perform ABBA’s music live.
Mamma Mia! The Party opened in London in August 2019 and has since welcomed over 700,000 guests through more than 1,500 performances. Visitors come from more than 110 countries to experience the blend of live performance and dining.
The production features music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, with additional contributions from Stig Anderson. The story was written by Calle Norlén, Roine Söderlundh, and Ulvaeus, with an English book by Sandi Toksvig.
Currently, Stacey Haynes and Roine Söderlundh co-direct and choreograph the London show. The cast includes Marianne Benedict and Kimberly Powell alternating as Kate, Jon Osbaldeston as Nikos, and Natalie Winsor as Debbie alongside a wider ensemble.
Sophie Arendt, managing director for Pophouse Entertainment, praised Andre’s stage charisma and Bailey’s vocals, calling it an exciting moment for the show. She also hinted at further future developments for Mamma Mia! The Party amid ongoing global expansion.
The production is executive produced by Björn Ulvaeus and Pophouse Entertainment and is actively booking until 4 April 2027, continuing to attract international guests to its unique theatrical dining experience.
