The full ensemble for Noël Coward’s comedy Hay Fever has been confirmed for Wyndham’s Theatre, featuring Richard E Grant and Christine Baranski in the central roles. The production, directed by Emily Burns, opens in September 2026 with additional tickets now available.
The new West End staging of Hay Fever, Coward’s classic play about the chaos in the Bliss family’s country weekend, will run from 22 September to 12 December 2026. A press night is scheduled for 1 October at Wyndham’s Theatre.
Christine Baranski takes on the role of Judith Bliss, with Richard E Grant as her husband David Bliss. Nancy Carroll plays Myra Arundel, and Will Close appears as Simon Bliss, completing the family ensemble.
The wider company includes Charles Edwards as Richard Greatham, Ophelia Lovibond as Sorel Bliss, Ash Hunter as Sandy Tyrell, Lucy Karczewski as Jackie Coryton, and Jo McInnes as Clara. Helena Antoniou, Charlotte Avery and Shaun Mendum round out the cast.
Emily Burns directs the production, supported by a creative team featuring Frankie Bradshaw as set and costume designer, Oliver Fenwick on lighting, and Tingying Dong handling sound design. Bethan Clark serves as fight and intimacy director.
The production also involves dialect coach Danièle Lydon, associate director Blythe Stewart, with casting directors Jim Carnahan and Liz Fraser overseeing the cast recruitment. Additional tickets, starting from £30, have recently been released to the public.
This new Hay Fever revival continues the ongoing appreciation for Coward’s sharp social comedy within the London theatre scene, offering fresh interpretations backed by a notable star-led cast.
