The Devil Wears Prada musical extends West End run into 2027 with Vanessa Williams

The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical has extended its West End booking at the Dominion Theatre until February 2027. Vanessa Williams will continue portraying Miranda Priestly alongside Matt Henry in the cast.

The production, which opened in December 2024 after a premiere run at Theatre Royal Plymouth in July and August, will now play at the Dominion Theatre until 6 February 2027. Vanessa Williams will remain in the role of Miranda Priestly until 17 October 2026, performing alongside Matt Henry as Nigel.

The musical features a current cast including Stevie Doc as Andy, Taila Halford as Emily, Keelan McAuley as Nate, and James Darch as Christian. The ensemble comprises over twenty performers, with Debbie Kurup as the alternate Miranda.

Music is by Elton John with lyrics from Shaina Taub and Mark Sonnenblick. The book is written by Kate Wetherhead. Jerry Mitchell directs and choreographs, while Tim Hatley handles set design and Gregg Barnes costume design. Lighting is by Bruno Poet, sound by Gareth Owen, and casting by Jill Green.

Produced by Kevin McCollum, David Furnish, and Jamie Wilson in association with Theatre Royal Plymouth, the show is presented by arrangement with Buena Vista Theatrical. It is based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel and the 2006 film adaptation featuring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.

The musical follows Andy, an aspiring journalist who takes a job working under Miranda Priestly, a powerful fashion magazine editor, exploring the pressures of the fashion industry. The story’s popularity continues alongside the planned release of a sequel film this summer.
