Kiln Theatre announces 2026/27 season with Marisha Wallace and Nine Night revival
Kiln Theatre has unveiled its 2026/27 season, the first full programme curated by artistic director Amit Sharma, featuring UK premieres, a new production of Natasha Gordon’s Nine Night, and a large community project.
The season at Kiln Theatre opens with All The Things We Can’t Explain, a new play by Sonia Jalaly running from 31 July to 1 August 2026 as part of the Kilburn High Road Festival. The production is co-directed by Kane Husbands and Izzy Rabey and performed by Kiln’s Intergenerational Company, which includes community members aged six to 88.
From 17 September to 24 October 2026, Douglas Lyons’ comedy Table 17 will have its UK premiere. Directed by 2026 Tony Award nominee Zhailon Levingston, the play stars Marisha Wallace as Jada and Michael Rishawn reprising his role as River/Eric from previous runs in New York and Los Angeles.
Amit Sharma will direct a new production of Natasha Gordon’s acclaimed debut play Nine Night, running from 12 November to 19 December 2026. The play depicts a Jamaican family’s traditional wake and explores layers of tension and secrets over nine nights, following its original 2018 premiere at the National Theatre and subsequent West End transfer.
The season closes with the UK premiere of Berlin by Joanna Murray-Smith, directed by Lucy Bailey, from 10 March to 17 April 2027. The play centres on two strangers meeting in Berlin and the unfolding revelations that bind them, following an earlier staging in Australia.
Kiln Theatre continues its £5 preview tickets scheme for Brent and Camden residents and offers £10 tickets for under-26s. The theatre also plans to distribute 1,000 free tickets to local people who might otherwise miss out on theatre access.
Priority booking for the season is now open to Kiln Friends and Kiln Card holders, with general booking commencing on 3 June at midday.
