Hadestown West End Cast to Perform Live at V&A’s Performance Festival 2026
The West End cast of Hadestown will give a special live performance at the Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington. This event, part of the V&A’s Performance Festival 2026, offers a unique setting for songs from the celebrated musical.
The Hadestown cast and musicians will perform on Saturday 25 April at 11am in the V&A’s Medieval and Renaissance Gallery. The location is notable for its sculptural depictions of Greek mythology, providing a fitting backdrop for the show’s myth-based story.
This performance is part of the V&A’s Performance Festival 2026, which runs from 24 April to 3 May and centres on the theme of “echos.” The festival features a range of live events throughout the museum.
Hadestown has been running in the West End for three years and continues at the Lyric Theatre, with performances currently booked through to 13 December 2026. The current West End cast includes Rachel Adedeji as Persephone, Bethany Antonia as Eurydice, Marley Fenton as Orpheus, Alastair Parker as Hades, and Clive Rowe as Hermes.
The musical reimagines the ancient myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, intertwining it with a contemporary folk and jazz score by Anaïs Mitchell. The V&A’s choice of venue highlights the show’s classical roots amid historical art.
This event reflects an increasing trend of blending theatrical performance with museum spaces, creating immersive cultural experiences. The collaboration also underscores the continued popularity of Hadestown beyond the traditional stage setting.
