Stranger Things and Beetlejuice announce new cast members for West End shows
Two major West End productions, Stranger Things: The First Shadow and Beetlejuice, have revealed fresh casting updates that refresh their casts in London.
Stranger Things: The First Shadow has announced that Paddy Bever will join the production as Henry Creel starting 12 June. The role of Henry Creel is central to this stage prequel, which is set in Hawkins in 1959, exploring events leading up to the television series.
Bever, primarily known for his screen work, was introduced through the show’s social media channels as the latest performer to take on the protagonist’s role at the Phoenix Theatre. The production is continuing its run in London with this new casting.
In related news, Beetlejuice has named Daisy Harrison as the standby for Lydia Deetz. This announcement came the day after Beetlejuice’s first performance at the Prince Edward Theatre, where the musical is scheduled to play until April 2027 on a limited season.
Lydia Deetz is a key character in Beetlejuice and functions as the audience’s entry point into the story, which is adapted from Tim Burton’s original film. Harrison’s addition strengthens the show’s ensemble soon after it premiered in the West End.
Both productions are making selective casting changes as they establish themselves in the London theatre landscape, keeping audiences engaged with fresh talent in pivotal roles.
