The Mousetrap unveils new West End cast at St Martin’s Theatre
Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap has introduced a fresh ensemble for its continuing London run, maintaining its record as the world’s longest-running play. The update comes as the production remains a central fixture in the West End.
The Mousetrap, which opened in 1952 and holds a Guinness World Record for its longevity, revealed its new London cast ahead of their first performances on 11 May. The latest line-up features Saranna Parlone as Mollie Ralston, Ben Riddle as Giles Ralston, and Stefan Chanyaem as Christopher Wren among others.
Other cast members joining the production include Joanne Henry as Mrs Boyle, James Staddon as Major Metcalf, Anna Rawlings as Miss Casewell, Dugald Bruce-Lockhart as Mr Paravicini, and Ben Galvin as Detective Sgt Trotter. They share the stage with Nancy Doubledee, Bella Farr, Barnaby Jago, Richard Parnwell, and Clive Marlowe.
The London staging continues its tenure at St Martin’s Theatre with direction by Denise Silvey and production led by Brian Fenty. The Mousetrap is currently booking performances through to January 2027.
As part of its 75th anniversary in 2026, the production plans a UK and Ireland tour commencing in September. This expansion will extend the show’s reach beyond its historic West End home.
The Mousetrap’s enduring success underscores its unique position in British theatrical history, regularly attracting audiences to its clever mystery narrative and traditional staging. The fresh cast signals a continued commitment to keeping the long-running play vibrant and relevant on London’s stages.
