Immersive Grease musical confirms Giórgios Micheldes and Stephanie Costi in 2026 cast
Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical is set to return to Evolution London this summer, revealing its initial cast including Giórgios Micheldes as Danny and Stephanie Costi as Sandy. The production invites audiences to experience the 1978 film in a multi-sensory theatre setting with a live band and interactive scenes.
Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical will run at Evolution London from 22 July to 13 September 2026, following a sold-out season in 2025. The two-and-a-half-hour show features a cast of 30 performers and a live band performing iconic songs like “Summer Nights,” “Greased Lightnin’” and “We Go Together” alongside projections of the original film.
Audiences will be immersed in the world of Rydell High, free to explore sets including the Frosty Palace diner, the autoshop and a carnival. Interactive elements allow the audience to join scenes such as a pep rally and choir rehearsal, with themed food and drink evoking a 1950s American diner experience.
Stephanie Costi returns in the role of Sandy, with Lucy Penrose reprising her role as Rizzo. Giórgios Micheldes joins as Danny, while Archangelo Ciulla plays Kenickie. Further casting will be announced later.
The creative team behind the production includes director Matt Costain, choreography by Jennifer Weber, and set design by Tom Rogers. Lighting design is by Howard Hudson, sound design by Gareth Fry, and music supervision, orchestration, and arrangements by Steve Sidwell.
Additional creative roles comprise video design by Ian William Galloway, costume design by Susan Kulkarni and Martina Trottman, with wigs, hair and make-up by Farida Ghedwar and Jessie Deol. Grace McInerny, working for Pippa Aillion and Natalie Gallacher Casting, is the casting director.
The 2026 iteration will offer roam and return seating options, allowing audiences to wander through immersive spaces before settling back into allocated seating in locations such as the Frosty Diner and the Drive-In. The production is produced by Secret Cinema and TodayTix, with Merritt Baer as artistic director and co-founder and Ben Hosford as executive producer.
